Polyaspartics

Polyaspartics are a relatively newer option for concrete floor coatings, offering rapid curing times, excellent durability, and resistance to various environmental factors. These coatings are derived from aliphatic polyisocyanates, which react with polyaspartic ester resins, forming a high-performance polymer suitable for various applications, including commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

However, polyaspartic coatings do have some drawbacks, including a higher cost compared to epoxy and polyurethane coatings and a shorter pot life, which requires precise and quick application by experienced professionals.

Despite these disadvantages, polyaspartic coatings are gaining popularity for concrete floor applications due to their rapid curing times, excellent performance, and versatility.

Performance Topcoat

85% Solids

High solids polyaspartic with the benefits of no odor, longer pot life and working time. Slow cure polyaspartic is beneficial for concrete floor coatings in larger or intricate projects, providing extended working time for precise application. It retains the key advantages of standard polyaspartics, including durability, UV resistance, chemical resistance, and aesthetic appeal, while offering more flexibility in application, ensuring a high-quality, long-lasting, and visually pleasing floor surface.

EXTRA SLOW Cure

85% Solids

EXTRA SLOW cure polyaspartic is beneficial for concrete floor coatings in larger or intricate projects, providing extended working time for precise application. It retains the key advantages of standard polyaspartics, including durability, UV resistance, chemical resistance, and aesthetic appeal, while offering more flexibility in application, ensuring a high-quality, long-lasting, and visually pleasing floor surface.

Also great for newer applicators who need the extended working time when using polyaspartics.

SLOWER Cure

Slow cure polyaspartic is beneficial for concrete floor coatings in larger or intricate projects, providing extended working time for precise application. It retains the key advantages of standard polyaspartics, including durability, UV resistance, chemical resistance, and aesthetic appeal, while offering more flexibility in application, ensuring a high-quality, long-lasting, and visually pleasing floor surface.

FASTER Cure

85% Solids

Fast cure polyaspartic is perfect for concrete floor coatings when minimizing downtime is crucial. It offers accelerated cure time, enabling quick project completion and prompt resumption of operations. Despite the rapid cure, it maintains key polyaspartic properties like durability, UV resistance, chemical resistance, and aesthetics, ensuring a high-performance, long-lasting, and attractive floor surface.

Key benefits of polyaspartic concrete floor coatings include:

  1. Rapid curing time: Polyaspartic coatings cure much faster than epoxy and polyurethane coatings, allowing for quicker turnaround times and minimizing downtime during installation.

  2. Durability: With excellent abrasion and impact resistance, polyaspartic coatings are well-suited for high-traffic areas and demanding environments.

  3. UV resistance: Polyaspartic coatings are highly resistant to UV radiation, preventing yellowing and degradation, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

  4. Chemical resistance: These coatings offer resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including acids, alkalis, solvents, and oils, making them ideal for facilities that handle or store such substances.

  5. Flexibility: Polyaspartic coatings possess good elongation properties, enabling them to accommodate minor substrate movement and help prevent cracks from forming in the underlying concrete.

  6. Aesthetics: Available in various colors and finishes, polyaspartic coatings provide numerous aesthetic options. They can also be combined with decorative elements, such as flakes or quartz, for a customized appearance.

  7. Low-temperature application: Unlike epoxy and polyurethane coatings, polyaspartic coatings can be applied at lower temperatures, extending the application season in colder climates.

  8. Low VOCs: Many polyaspartic coatings have low volatile organic compound (VOC) content, making them an environmentally friendly option.
